Back to Mexico

The San Francisco 49ers will return to Mexico in 2026. The NFL confirmed that the team will play an official regular-season game in Mexico City, where it will serve as the home team at Estadio Banorte (formerly Estadio Azteca). Although the opponent and exact date have not yet been announced, the game is expected to take place in December and be part of the league’s international expansion.

It will be the third time the 49ers play in the Mexican capital, reinforcing their strong connection with fans in the country.
